Very thorough article, packed with good tips.

Thank you Mindfulink .

I agree that perfection is an obstacle in the beginning.

Narrowing niche, narrowing content is not so good for consistency.

We must eliminate big gaps.

I also experience this problem with my articles sometimes it takes two or three week till I publish an article.

Are you in all platforms you mentioned?

Nope am in substack and LinkedIn. I prefer one starting with one platform then branching out. I on the other hand, saw substack as my email list funnel, but LinkedIn as the only social media platform that i will give my all. Which platforms are you in?

So far I’m here on Substack. I haven’t explored Linked in. Do you post articles there?

I have played with the idea of a You Tube channel as some kind of podcast show.

Nope, I only post normal posts, they are like short pieces of what i post here, but because i post daily there, mostly i get my inspiration from what i have posted on linkedin and share it here.

Wow a podcast, can you share? Do you still do this?

That's very good.

I haven't materialized the podcast idea yet, but I will do something about it in the following 3 months.

Have you thought of doing live videos?

Now, many are doing them.

Yes I have thought about video, but my focus is to establish what am working on right now, then soon I will move to video. Would you love me to do lives?

Stick to your plan. You will probably know when to do something different.

Lives are cool. I think you will be great.

This is exactly the kind of approach that leads to real, sustainable growth. I agree—perfectionism can paralyze progress. The key is consistency and showing up, even if the content isn’t perfect at first. Focusing on one platform and format allows you to build a foundation without spreading yourself too thin. And it’s about finding the rhythm, engaging with others, and refining as you go. Keep pushing forward—progress will show, and the results will come.

You're welcome. Someetimes people like to come in and read things later. I think that I've had a long standing relationship with perfectionism and I learned on LinkedIn that consistency and showing up makes up for being perfect.
